Returns a handle on the list of all selectors supported by Gestalt function in the current configuration.
The 窶˜tabl窶™ menu allows you to switch between an exhaustive list and a list with only selectors not shown in the main list. You are also allowed to mark selectors in order to mask them in the displayed list.
Some applications, drivers or system extensions may post selectors (generally their signature) to point out their effective installation. These selectors are not part of standard operating system. Gestalt.Appl tries to tell who posted these selectors (looking for a file whose signature is equal to selector). This search is very efficient under Desktop Manager, but horribly slow if not (because of a call to OpenRFPerm function which spends several seconds!). The 窶˜tabl窶™ menu allows you to limit the search within Desktop Manager managed volumes, or to extend it within all the volumes (10 maximum).
This menu also could allow (for a remote machine) to choice between a search on this remote machine and a search on the local machine, but it is not implemented.
Note: selectors are made with four characters. Not all four are printing characters.
